Sam McCarthy

Whatever Sam is doing, chances are he’s singing while doing it! Music and vocal performance have always been central to his life—starting with piano lessons and singing in his high school choir. Sam earned his degree in Music at Santa Clara University, where he performed in the university choir and with the campus a cappella group, Supertonic. Highlights of his musical journey include singing the national anthem at a Golden State Warriors game and opening for Hall & Oates with Supertonic. Outside of Impulse A Cappella, Sam works on his own music—he released an EP titled Initiation in 2022 and rolled out singles throughout 2023. Sam is thrilled for what’s ahead with Impulse A Cappella and can’t wait to continue making music with this talented group!
